The revision of the chemical industry standard HG/T4104-2009 "waterborne fluorocarbon resin coating" project was approved by the national standard committee recently, and officially entered the start-up stage.
Fluorocarbon coatings have excellent durability, chemical resistance and long term excellent light retention and color retention properties. Waterborne fluorocarbon coatings not only have the traditional excellent properties of fluorocarbon coatings, but also have better environmental protection than solvent based fluorocarbon coatings. With the increasingly stringent requirements for the content of volatile organic compounds in the national environmental protection regulations, as well as the economic development of our country and the continuous improvement of the people's living standards, it provides a broad development space for the popularization and application of such high-grade coatings.
Waterborne fluoro resin coating, as the top grade of the exterior surface coating on the building, has been applied in China for nearly 10 years, and the waterborne fluoro resin coatings on the metal surface have appeared, and have been gradually applied. In 2009, China promulgated the chemical industry standard of fluorinated resin coatings for building water HG/T4104-2009, "waterborne fluorine resin paint". It has been implemented for more than 7 years and has been revised. This standard has played an active role in guiding production, standardizing the market and protecting the interests of consumers. Due to the support of national policies, the water borne fluorocarbon coatings for building have been developing rapidly in recent years, and are currently in the golden age of cultivating the market.
With the development of production technology and detection technology, it is found that the standard has to be improved: 1. The scope of application of the product in the standard is only suitable for the coating on the exterior surface of the building, and there is no demand for the metal surface products, which is not conducive to the promotion and application of this kind of product. 2, the classification of standard medium products: the current standard is divided into PVDF class; fluorine containing acroleine class, FEVE class, based on the development of current technology, the product category is not limited to the above several, there are other categories with excellent performance. 3, the three types of current standards are only limited to the requirements of fluorine content, and there are no requirements for other specific indicators, the distinction is not high 4, the current standards of fluorine content in the current standards take into account the requirements of other projects, the performance of fluorine containing acrolein is the best, and the theory is not the same. 5. Methods for determining the content of fluorine: because of the development of the synthetic technology of water based fluorine resin, the method of determining the content of fluorine in the current standard, such as the method of centrifugation, can not effectively separate the resin in the coating. The method has a large error and need to be revised urgently. 6. During the implementation of the current standard, the Committee has received some opinions and suggestions related to this standard. Therefore, it is not necessary for HG/T4104-2009 to revise the standard of water based fluoro resin coatings.
The revised HG/T4104 "waterborne fluorocarbon resin coating" standard will be applicable to waterborne coatings containing C-F bonds. It is mainly used for decoration and protection of exterior surfaces and metal surfaces of buildings. The standard plan specifies the classification, grading, requirements, test methods, inspection rules, marking, packaging and storage requirements of waterborne fluorocarbon coatings. The performance includes the fluorine content in the base material, low temperature stability, adhesion, alkali resistance, washability, water resistance, acid rain, stain resistance, salt resistance, resistance to artificial aging and so on. And the corresponding product classification test methods, inspection rules, logo storage requirements.
